The top national parks for safaris in Tanzania are Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are the most popular.

The best time to go on a Tanzania safari is during the dry season from June to October. This is when the wildebeest migration travels through the Serengeti and the animals are easier to spot near water sources.
On a Tanzania safari you can see the Big 5 – lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. You’ll also likely see wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, antelope, hippos, crocodiles, and more. The Serengeti is famous for the annual wildebeest migration.
The price for Tanzania safari depends on the level of accommodations, activities, and the number of parks visited. Most Tanzania safari can range as follows: Budget safari: $200 – 340 Mid-Range safari: $250 – $500 Hight-End safari: $650 and above
Tanzania has a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. June to October is dry with average highs of 25-30°C (77-86°F). November to May is wet with highs around 30°C (86°F). It’s warm year round in the plains regions.
Recommended vaccinations for Tanzania are hepatitis A, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, and a current tetanus shot. Malaria prevention medication is also highly recommended.
